Emma graduated from Newcastle University in 1995 and is the principal dentist. Emma has owned Hencotes Dental Practice since 2003 and Crawcrook Dental Practice since 2007.

Emma enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and especially enjoys working alongside a very loyal, friendly and hardworking team.

In her spare time Emma cycles, reads and enjoys hillwalking.

Daniel qualified from Newcastle University in 1998 and has worked in Crawcrook Dental Practice since 2007. He now also works in our Hencotes practice in Hexham.

He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and also offers facial aesthetics and is a Quick Straight Teeth provider.

In his spare time Daniel enjoys the outdoors; wild camping and hillwalking in the Lake District.

James qualified from Newcastle University in 2009 and has been with Crawcrook Dental Practice since 2019, having worked at various practices across the North East.

James enjoys providing all aspects of restorative dentistry, taking pride in delivering a high standard of work.

Outside of work, James has a keen passion for rugby, is a keen golfer and enjoys spending time with his young family.

Adam qualified from Newcastle University in 2016, having obtained a BSc in biomedical sciences followed by his BDS degree.

Adam has enjoyed gaining experience in a broad range of dental settings from general practice as well as time as a prison dentist. He has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry. Specifically, he is a registered Quick Straight Teeth and Invisalign provider.

He enjoys attending courses designed to keep his knowledge up to date, and feels motivated to continue to develop throughout a dental professional’s career. He enjoys running, cycling and going to the cinema. Adam’s big passion is Newcastle United.

 Katie graduated from  Queen’s University Belfast in 2023 with a distinction in Conservation,  Periodontics, and Orthodontics. She enjoys all areas of general  dentistry and has a particular interest in helping patients who feel  nervous or anxious about visiting the dentist. Katie takes a calm and  caring approach, aiming to make each visit as comfortable and  stress-free as possible.
 

Originally from Belfast, Katie now lives in Newcastle and enjoys  spending time outdoors and catching up with friends when she’s not in clinic.
 

Practice Management & Dental Nursing

Angela started working at Hencotes Dental Practice in 2005 as a Dental Nurse. She gradually took on additional roles and became the registered Practice Manager in 2015.

Angela takes pride in her work. She enjoys working in an NHS practice alongside a fantastic and supportive team.

Outside of work Angela enjoys spending time with her family and Pilates.

Practice Management & Reception

Sarah started working at Alpin Dental in July 2010. She was initially employed as a Receptionist but continued to take on additional administrative duties within the dental practices and in January 2018 became Deputy Practice Manager. Sarah enjoys working within the very busy environment of an NHS practice.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys Pilates classes, wild water swimming and regularly volunteers at Tyne Green Park Run

Reception

Allison has been with Crawcrook Dental Practice since 2018

Allison is dedicated to supporting patients by creating a comfortable and reassuring environment. She consistently aims to provide clear, compassionate and effective advice over the phone.

Outside of work Allison enjoys going to the Cinema, Pub quiz's, Holidays and also taking part in Sky Dives and Canyon challenges for charity.

Tarah is a very kind and driven person. She has worked at the practice since 2022 and qualified as a dental nurse from Middlesbrough College in 2024. Tarah enjoys all aspects of dentistry and assisting the clinicians in providing excellent quality of dental care.

In Tarah's spare time, she enjoys going to the theatre to see the latest muscial, reading thriller books, and watching tv series. 

Dental Nurse

Molly joined Crawcrook and Hencotes  Dental Practices in March 2023 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in June 2025.

Molly enjoys all aspects of her work especially her interactions with patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease in surgery. She likes to work along side all the different dentists.

In her spare time Molly likes to socialise with friends and family. She loves to travel, in particular to Ibiza.

Estelle  joined Alpin Dental in March 2021 and has been part of the team for  five years. She qualified as a dental nurse in December 2023 and is  committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

With  a strong focus on patient comfort and communication, Estelle strives to  ensure every individual feels informed, supported, and at ease  throughout their visit. She takes particular pride in building positive  relationships with patients and contributing to a welcoming,  professional environment within the practice.

Outside  of her clinical role, Estelle enjoys spending quality time with family  and friends, participating in pub quizzes, and listening to music.

Dental Nurse

Rihanna is a friendly and dedicated member of our team. She joined the practice in 2023 and has recently  passed her nursing qualification. Well done Rihanna. She enjoys working with all the dentists and loves to help assist with all treatments for the best quality care.

In Rihanna’s spare time, she loves spending time with friends and family, travelling and listening to all genres of music.
